There is a whole host of information on conditions, support, services and our podcast Chat-Chit. What’s on this website and what has been created is not just by a bunch of professionals in a room, but we has been guided, checked and developed by young people in York and people who have witnessed first-hand what young people have to go through with their mental health.
The idea for something better is something that motivates the work we do. If the website ever sounds like we are having a conversation with you then it’s because been written in a way that young people said was more accessible and relatable
Although this website is designed to empower young people to feel confident to understand their own mental health and be proactive about it, it is also aid those who do the supporting also.
Mental health is you on your good day, on a bad day, on the day where you’re not even sure how you feel.
Mental health is how we think, feel and act .Mental health and managing it, is for everyone because no matter who you are, you deserve to feel happy or if happy is a push for now, you deserve to feel okay.
Some people aspire to feel normal or to have mental health that is normal but normal is different things for different people.
How we manage our mental health varies from person to person. For me, I go to the gym, go camping and play cricket. For one of my colleagues it’s playing animal crossing. How we live our lives is up to us and what helps each one of us is going to be different.
Hopefully this website can give a few ideas about different things that might help you, it can guide you towards some info on mental health or show you something or somewhere that might be able to help you manage what you may be going through.
